Steve Hamm of Business Week Wants to Hear H-1B Sob Stories
I've been developing a story about the working conditions of H1B workers for a couple of months now, and I've been getting a lot of help from people who read the blog. I need a little more. I'm looking for examples of the difficulties H1B workers have faced--how they're treated and mistreated by the people who recruit them, the people who train them, and the people who place them in IT jobs in American corporations. How do these companies take advantage of the visa system? How do they take advantage of their clients, the corporations? Right now I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who are waiting and hoping to get Green Cards. How do sponsors take advantage of you? Please contact me via my e-mail: steve_hamm@businessweek.com. You can be anonymous, if you want. I need to move quickly.

Funny, he doesn't want to hear about Americans impacted by H-1Bs.
that's pathetic
Is he going to cover how no American can just run over to India and get a job? How about the treatment of Americans overseas on work Visas?
U.S the Sole Non-Protectionist Nation on Earth
My Monday, June 8, 2009 visit to the Nassau County Department of Labor was a refreshing visit.
Not only are the representatives telling the truth about the IT field, but they are also pontificating on the suicide mission that Congress is intent in executing upon our nation.
No other nation on earth would allow a foreigner to enter its borders and have the rights to that nations resources without spending at least 3 years in that country.
Only the U.S. gives the store away and our representatives do not seem to care as long as they can deposit the checks that they are given by Corporate America into their foreign accounts.
Shills can post what they want and statistics can be parlayed to show a strong or recovering economy, but when people working at the DOL tell me that the Graduation Class of 2008 is basically going to remain unemployed unless they serve coffee at McDonalds or apply for a Civil Service position, I know our government's policies are doing more harm than good.
hello USCitizen
Consider writing a blog or forum post about what you are finding if you are visiting local DOLs and talking about the plight of the U.S. professional worker.
