Senator John "Benedict Arnold" Kerry introduces yet another guest worker Visa

Remember all of the rhetoric from John Kerry about offshore outsourcing and Benedict Arnold corporations? Well, obviously that was just a ruse to win votes.

Kerry along with his corporate lobbyist puppet Republican counterpart are introducing yet another foreign guest worker Visa into the Senate.

Kerry and Lugar propose creating a visa for startup entrepreneurs who have raised at least $100,000 per founder and $250,000 per company from US investors. In the two years after receiving a visa, those entrepreneurs are required to either create five jobs for employees who aren’t immediate family members, raise $1 million in financing, or generate $1 million in revenue.

Note, when they say 5 jobs, they do not require those hires be U.S. citizens, Americans. So, of course this is just a conduit for more offshore outsourcing and body shops, hiring L-1 and H-1B guest workers and displacing Americans.

It also reduces the price tag on an existing Visa. It's a EB-5, redressed.

Does Kerry or Lugar bother to demand VC's fund U.S. citizens to start up companies? No. Are they expanding funds for U.S. citizens to start companies? No. Are they offering any support for U.S. citizens and to stop the job hemorrhage in STEM? No.

There are thousands of highly skilled and talented Americans who right at this moment cannot get funding to start a company. Yet, here we go, yet another action by our lovely Senate to help foreigners and foreign companies and they will not lift a finger to help American Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Professionals.

What about Republican Lugar?

I think it's unfair that your title says "Benedict Arnold" Kerry but doesn't mention Republican Lugar at all.

Why don't we try to keep this site politically neutral? Both Republicans and Democrats are guilty of failing to fight for what's right and look out for the interest of the average American.

true, but Lugar didn't campaign as President

I cannot think of anything where Lugar presented himself as being for the U.S. worker and interested in doing anything on wage arbitrage. Kerry, on the other hand, won the Democratic nomination during the primaries with such rhetoric, which was obviously a ruse.

That said, we can pick from a host of Republicans who will sell U.S. workers down the river, so maybe we need to pick up one of those next time. There will be a next time and assuredly John McCain would be point man on it? Carly "no American has a god given right to a job" Fiorina is running in the GOP CA Senate race....

agreed

Yes, I agree
