Ridiculous response from a Craigslist ad

Folks, in real life I have specialty skills, very hard to find specialty skills.

Here is the email I received when I responded to a Craigslist ad:

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is regarding your recent craiglist job application for the openings either in our company's Canada or US department. After careful review of your resume among hundreds of ones, we are inviting you to conduct a phone interview soon. Before we call you we should get some important information below.

(1) The official tile of the position you are applying? If there are multiple openings for entry level and mid/senior level, please indicate the desired level.

(2) If you are applying for the job openings in Canada department, what's your current immigration status in Canada?

(3) If you are applying for the job openings in US department, what's your current immigration status in USA? Do you need H1B sponsorship? If you are now in OPT when will your OPT expire?
(Please note we DO have H1B sponsorship for excellent applicants. This question is for classification purpose only.)

(4) Are you in the same city where our company is located? If you are selected for an on-site interview are you willing to come on your own expenses?
(Please note we DO pay some excellent applicants' interview trip. This question is for classification purpose only.)

(5) When is your best time for a phone interview next week? We also need your new phone number if it is different from your resume.

(6) What’s your expected salary? (Optional)

Please answer ALL above questions. Do not skip questions or we may NOT contact you further.

We are looking to hearing from you soon.

Note, they did not bother to read anything, else there would not be a Dir Sir/Madam in reply and it seems they are interested in one's Visa status primarily!

I do not just fire off responses to random, non-specific ads. The ad was a very specific task list and skill set. The ad never listed any company name and did not list any locations. The requirements in the listing were a PhD requirement and advanced skills in theoretical topics. There was no actual "job title" in the actual ad. The ad listed rare, highly advanced skills.

Right! Obviously by the response they could care less if someone can even code their way out of a paper bag, much less find the expertise listed in the original post.

innocent misunderstanding

The statement about H-1B or OPT status was probably an innocent way to encourage foreigners to apply, not to discriminate against American workers. The statement "This question is for classification purpose only" means they will consider Americans also -- NOT!!!

Seriously folks, are any of you fooled by this kind of corporate double talk?

truly

There is no way, when searching for specialty skills, one receives a "form letter" in response....not unless the focus is really on obtaining free labor via the OPT program!

Look at that, they are even trying to not pay for an interview, unbelievable.
