Please do not Vote to Offshore Outsource your Job in the Primaries tomorrow

For all of you voting in tomorrow's primaries. Realize, if you vote for either Carly Fiorina or Meg Whitman, you are voting to offshore outsource your job.

Both have promoted offshore outsourcing and did ship jobs offshore while being CEOs.

Do you really want that representing you in Government? Maybe you don't think much about it now, but the day you can't pay the bills because you have no job, your vote may come back to haunt you.

To check voting records on immigration related issues, click here. Bringing in foreign labor is the dual of offshore outsourcing and with both of these candidates you will be guaranteed that will be job #1, losing your job that is.

Way to go California Republicans

You just voted for more offshore outsourcing! What a choice as in there isn't one. It will be unlimited migration/immigration/outsourcing either party. No wonder this country is going to the dogs.

A Voice is needed to speak of negative effects of outsourcing

Why can't there be a group of IT workers that speak out against more outsourcing. There are so many PRO Outsourcing groups so I think a group that speaks of the negative effects of outsourcing also needs to be formed, right? So many people in the Pro groups I'm sure meet with Representatives and get their voices heard. It seems the Representatives who make these decisions might only be hearing from one side and that is all the PRO side. Shouldn't they be hearing from both sides? Only changes happen when people voice their concerns, right?

that's what this site is trying to do

get STEM to sign up, join forces and speak out. So, if you want a group of tech workers to speak out, try getting more to sign up for accounts on this site and join in the discussion. Online sites can help organize for real political action but we need more dedicated people.

Techies seem to post a comment here and there but do not seem to be even calling their representatives. Organizing it seems beyond most's comprehension and that needs to change for something to happen. I thought I would try this and the apathy is beyond the pale. So instead "someone" should pipe up and for 20 years people have been trying to organize tech workers and failed....maybe you want to help get more people to pipe up? This is a DIY movement.

All changes need to come from a Voice

What does DIY mean? I know what your saying about where are the techies at speaking out on this issue? Maybe they are comfortable in their jobs and don't think this could ever affect them? I don't know and great if they are comfortable today, but what about tomorrow? The principle alone of what's happening in their industry I would think would have them signing up to this website.

There are a few who have actually tried to do some things, but probably was working on this issue alone. Before this website, the only person I feel I've had a connection with and who feels the same way about all this outsourcing as I do is someone who is originally from INDIA, go figure!

DIY means do it yourself

I think they are chicken, afraid for their jobs, what's left, if they speak out or organize.

Could this just be the IT Profession in general?

I wonder if people that navigate into different professions think differently about things. For example, like you mentioned not many people in IT seem to be speaking out about all the outsourcing. I wonder if people in a different profession would be so quiet?

why don't you ask them

They are on slashdot, computer world, other forums and social networks. Ask them why they are not standing up for their labor rights.
