Oh Look, Yet Another Corporate Think Tank Trying to Undermine U.S. Immigration Law
What a surprise. The absurdity of India trying to claim a few fees for H-1B guest worker Visas is covered under trade law is finding a new friend to spin their agenda.
Infomation Week names the lobbyist think tank's latest propaganda, parading around as a study, That is the National Foundation for American Policy. Mark it, remember it and realize now their white papers are as yellow as pee in snow.
It's completely ridiculous, immigration policy is NOT covered under the WTO, period. Look at the agenda again:
Claeys said, speaking on a conference call about his research Thursday.
This intent to "make these visas less available and more difficult to procure" violates GATS because it willfully restricts the entry of foreign workers, he said.
"The U.S. made a [commitment} that all of its measures would be made in impartial manner," he said. "Increasing them to make them less available would not meet that standard."
The law also appears to violate GATS because it could nullify or impair benefits of other WTO members,
That last line means India. The case is ridiculous, GATS does not cover immigration law....at all. But that's India's agenda, they want the WTO to control U.S. immigration law and specially guest worker visas so they can take what is left of American jobs.
GATS mode 4 is the movement of persons to deliver services via the service trade agreement. Problem is, there are no associated Visas created for this purpose.
So, this analysis is bogus by National Foundation for American Policy. What's really happening is our open borders agenda, let's control migration through labor arbitrage, multinational corporate lobbyists and India labor arbitraging body shops....are trying every way they can to circumvent U.S. immigration law for that effect. They want to control the supply and movement of labor around the globe for their own arbitrage purposes.
