Get Ready for Another "Free Trade Agreement"
If you thought NAFTA did wonderful things for our economy, then brace yourself for yet another Free Trade Agreement. This time it is with our good buddies in South Korea, and, even though none of the other free trade agreements ever helped the job situation here in the US, this one will. President Obama said it will be so. I personally have no idea why he is so unpopular. I'm sure all of those polls that show how unpopular federal free trade policies are have nothing to do with it.
Associated tariff reductions are expected to boost annual exports of US goods by up to 11 billion dollars while contributing "significantly" to his goal of doubling US exports over the next five years, Obama said of the agreement that raised hopes of renewed US leadership in Asia.
The agreement lifts tariffs on 95 percent of goods between the countries within five years, in what would be the largest US trade pact since the North American Free Trade Agreement with Canada and Mexico in 1994. -- AFP

Those figures are fiction
It's amazing, don't even quote these, I think they come from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. There are other analysis showing more job losses and an increased trade deficit from this bill.
Stirring the Pot
Sorry, I was just trying to get you riled up. This is another economic disaster in the works, and it is being lead by the administration that was going to get us out of NAFTA during the time of lying commonly known as the "campaign".
