E-Verify Works so of course Obama and Congress are gutting it!

The Chicago Tribune, in E-verify works, so of course, let's not use it, points out why something so obvious as checking for valid social security numbers of prospective employees and contracts to verify that person has authorization to work in the United States... is being gutted.

"There are powerful lobbies lined up against this, and together they make some of the strangest bedfellows in the world," said Neville Cramer, a former top federal Immigration official who helped develop the earliest incarnation of E-Verify years ago.

"They are deathly afraid of this system being used because it works," Cramer said in a telephone interview.

This observation, anything on immigration that actually works is sure to be voted against:

because E-Verify works, politicians figure there's no real rush to actually use the darn thing. If it didn't work, they'd demand its implementation, like almost every other government program.

Now this is unreal, regardless of where you stand on amnesty. Wasn't the entire claim by Democrats that in order to curtail illegal immigration we needed workplace enforcement? So, they of course try to dismantle a system that works?

Check your representatives voting records and see which ones pounded the campaign trail bully pulpit claiming illegal immigration needs to be curtailed by workplace enforcement and punishing illegal employers.

One group of bought and paid for Democratshypocrites and many make me embarrassed. Voting against the interests of working America and this in the face of the worst unemployment since the Great Depression.

Think they are rushing to help professional workers on the Grassley-Drubin bill? Of course not. The bill has no other sponsors or cosponsors!

NumbersUSA has a host of alerts, so does CAPS.

You might write your representatives and note their continual sell out of the U.S. labor force.

Full disclosure, I am to the left and I find this entire thing truly stuck on stupid. We have an official unemployment rate of 9.4% and those jobs need to go to Americans.
