So, in response, our Senators want to turn our education system into a glorified green card ATM:

“A green card will be immediately available to foreign students with an advanced degree from a United States institution of higher education in a field of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics…foreign students will be permitted to enter the United States with immigrant intent if they are a bona fide student so long as they pursue a full course of study at an institution of higher education in a field of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics…”

There is no worker shortage and here we are with plenty of overqualified Americans and others wanting opportunities getting laid off and treated like global labor arbitrage cannon fodder. Watch the advanced degree be turned into a joke. It's bad enough the U.S. Bachelor's has been getting the shaft, when a MSc is more equal to a U.S. Bachelor's degree than a U.S. Masters.

So, of course ignore your own citizens and don't forget to corrupt further higher education.

Supposedly they plan on increasing H-1B Visa caps as well.
