Senators Sanders, Grassley, Harkin, and Tester are trying to help U.S. workers. They have filed an amendment to the Small Business Lending Act to block companies from hiring foreign guest workers when firing competent and hard working U.S. workers.

The Amendment is S.AMDT. 4438, introduced to the Small Business Lending Fund Act of 2010 bill number H.R.5297.

Below is their plea to save U.S. jobs.

International Business Machines Corp., the world’s largest computer-services provider, cut almost 500 jobs across the U.S., according to Alliance@IBM, a group that represents some employees.

Techcrunch has a layoff tracker for tech jobs. Globally 350,000 layoffs since the financial implosion, last August 2008.

Now notice how many employers are demanding more H-1B guest worker Visas? Microsoft for example, is.

Also realize Techcrunch, in spite of overwhelming evidence tech workers are being labor arbitraged, loves to spew nonsense on how great guest worker Visas are.

Pretty amazing, they have the evidence right in front of their face yet promote more wage repression, firings and offshore outsourcing in tech.
