Firstly, Andy Grove came over as a child and also under much more restrictive immigration laws than today. This means, Andy Grove was a product of America, the United States educational system, the United States venture capital system, the United States opportunities.

It has nothing to do with where Grove was physically born and everything to do with opportunities in the United States, a system to educate, give first level careers to, to give venture capital to....it's citizens.
