Silicon Valley high tech firms are on the hot seat over accusations that they're not hiring enough minorities. Three non-profit groups targeted Google for a protest because it wouldn't provide a breakdown of its workforce by race or ethnicity.

Jim Crow in Silicon Valley
Submitted by mayday on Sun, 03/14/2010 - 13:17In my opinion, anyone who has worked in the Bay Area knows Silicon valley doesn't believe in hiring Black people, women, Hispanics and especially anyone over the age of 35. If they do, it's as token whatever and maybe cannon fodder to be hit on for a date.
The National Black Chamber of Commerce is calling this Jim Crow after the discriminatory segregation laws.

Fox News has discovered discriminatory job ads and this one says Help Wanted -- 'Arrogant Americans' Need Not Apply:
An information technology staffing firm based in Rolling Meadows, Ill., posted an advertisement for a technical writer that warned that an "arrogant American" would not flourish in the position.
Infosys sued for discrimination, pay - workers should not celebrate Christmas!

Who says you can't celebrate Thanksgiving?
Promila Awasthi, a Silicon Valley computer consultant, says her bosses at Infosys did.
In a lawsuit filed Monday in Alameda County Superior Court, Awasthi, an India-born American citizen, says her bosses at Infosys's Fremont ,Calif. office mocked her for observing American holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas and refused to pay her overtime according to California law.
