They Think We Are Stupid.
Submitted by David on Tue, 01/25/2011 - 08:13Wasn't it nice of President Obama to have the Communist Chinese dictator over for a state dinner? Apparently his dictatorness even offered to provide the entertainment.
‘When friends are here, there is fine wine / But if the jackal comes / What greets it is the hunting rifle.’ The ‘jackal’ in the song is the United States.
The unabashed show of patriotism brought a strong reaction from some Chinese.
‘Those American folks very much enjoyed it and were totally infatuated with the melody!!! The US is truly stupid!!’ wrote one China-based blogger.
It's Time to Call for a Constitutional Convention in 2011!
Submitted by David on Wed, 01/05/2011 - 22:21We've all heard many times that amending the US Constitution in these highly partisan days is next to impossible, but have you ever stopped to wonder if that "conventional wisdom" was anything more than a smoke screen meant to deceive Americans into a position of helplessness? It's time to read for ourselves that grand old document, the US Constitution:
Article 5: On the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which ...shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States.
Get Ready for Another "Free Trade Agreement"
Submitted by David on Wed, 12/08/2010 - 08:23If you thought NAFTA did wonderful things for our economy, then brace yourself for yet another Free Trade Agreement. This time it is with our good buddies in South Korea, and, even though none of the other free trade agreements ever helped the job situation here in the US, this one will. President Obama said it will be so. I personally have no idea why he is so unpopular. I'm sure all of those polls that show how unpopular federal free trade policies are have nothing to do with it.
Associated tariff reductions are expected to boost annual exports of US goods by up to 11 billion dollars while contributing "significantly" to his goal of doubling US exports over the next five years, Obama said of the agreement that raised hopes of renewed US leadership in Asia.
NBC/WSJ Study Shows Americans Against Free Trade & Amesty
Submitted by David on Fri, 12/03/2010 - 08:18It must have been a real blow to the long time free trade advocating Wall Street Journal to discover after all these years of globalist propaganda the results of their survey have stayed so consistently negative. 47% of Americans think free trade has hurt the US. Only 23% say, "yippee, take our jobs". The rest like football. Not that I don't, but wake up, people!
Donald Trump for President
Submitted by David on Tue, 11/09/2010 - 15:45Since none of the major parties will propose workable solutions to create jobs in this country, and few if any of the third parties in this country are picking up the slack, here's an interesting potential option, Donald Trump for President of the United States of America. Let's look at what he has to say to Greta Van Susteren:
Where Have Our "Kelly Johnsons" Gone?
Submitted by David on Thu, 11/04/2010 - 12:51The disappearance of the aerospace vehicle design engineer has long been used as an indictment against the engineers of today. When people ask, where is the Werner Von Braun or Kelly Johnson of this generation of engineers it is typically cited as proof that engineers of today are not as competent as those of previous generations of Americans. That perception is wrong and the disappearance of the aerospace design engineer actually points to a plot that is much more sinister.
